First-class boarding facility
Dog and Cat Clinic is your first choice to take care of your pet while you are away from home or unable to care for your pet. Our boarding facility is climate-controlled and your pet will be under the care of a veterinarian supervised staff.
While you are away you can be sure that your dog or cat will be in comfortable surroundings and given the love and care expected from our team. Dogs are taken out for exercise each day and given plenty of play time and attention. Cats are kept calm by being separated from dogs and loud noises. All pets must be up- to-date on vaccines and flea-free to stay in our facility. If your pet requires treatment, it will be examined by the doctor prior entering our boarding area. Our boarding facility fills up quickly, especially during holiday seasons, so we recommend reserving your pet’s stay well in advance.
Most animal owners consider their pets to be not only faithful companions but also members of their family. Some of these owners have a healthy fear of losing their pet to cancer, and that fear is very real. 50% of all geriatric cats and dogs will suffer and pass from cancer this year alone. Although it is the leading cause of death in geriatric pets, it is also one of the most treatable diseases using chemotherapy. What is cancer? Cancer is by medical definition the overgrowth of cells that take over healthy tissues and organs and cause damage. There are three forms of cancer treatment: surgery, radiation treatment, and chemotherapy. Surgery will remove localized tumors while radiation treatment is best for small tumors. Chemotherapy is treatment that battles cancer systemically, meaning it is flushed throughout the body in order to kill the damaging cancer cells.
Dog and Cat Clinic is a fully functioning clinic for companion pets. Not only do we have an in-house diagnostics lab and surgical suite, we also provide intensive care for animals as well. Intensive care is a monitoring service by the doctors and staff at our pet clinic. Many issues may cause pets to need intensive care, including major surgeries, trauma and severe illness. When your pet is considered in critical condition our caring doctors monitor its vital signs such as heart rate, breathing capacity and blood pressure. Your pet will be kept comfortable and pain will be controlled by medicine. Our staff will keep you informed about your pet’s condition on a regular basis and our doctors will be available for any questions you may have.
